SAS champions of the 2019-20 Lebanese Women’s Football League!

Star Association for Sports, or simply SAS, won the Lebanese Women Football League after a great battle against EFP in the final matchday of the season, which ended 4-2 for the Aley-based club.

SAS have great players, including the U-19 National Team stars Lili Iskandar and Rida Wahab, who recently won the U-19 West Asian Football Federation Championship.

Former Salam Zgharta player Lili Iskandar and UEFA Champions League-experienced Nancy Tchaylian played a crucial role in the last game of the season against EFP. Zgharta-born Iskandar scored a brace (3-2 and 4-2), while Lebanese-Armenian Tchaylian made 2 assists and scored once.

EFP’s Melanie Ghanime finished as top scorer of the season, with 20 goals, while teammate Lamitta Eldeeb was awarded the prize of Youngest Goalkeeper. Safa, who beat Montada North Lebanon 7-0, finished in second place, while EFP finished third.
