The AFC impose a 75000$ fine on Ansar

The AFC has imposed a 74875$ fine on Ansar after their game against Al Wehdat at Camille Chamoun Stadium on 24 February 2020.

There were many reasons behind such hefty fine including directing lasers on the player’s eyes, throwing water bottles and fireworks into the pitch, entering prohibited stadium’s stands sections and getting into the stadium without getting the proper permissions.

Ansar have to pay the 74875$ fine in a period of 90 days and also the club received a warning against repeating such infractions.

The game took place during the 2020 AFC Cup campaign that was later cancelled after the COVID-19 pandemic.
