How long will El Helwe be out of action?

In the Amman Derby between Wehdat and Faisaly, Hilal El Helwe was subbed off at the 59th minute after a “faux-pas” saw him twist his ankle.

His club, Faisaly, is yet to comment on El Helwe’s injury. The club is probably waiting for further diagnosis.

Usually, mild and low-grade ankle injuries need minimum 3 weeks to heal. Therefore, there’s a risk that El Helwe will be absent for the two international friendlies against Jordan on March 24 and Kuwait on March 29.

We will be waiting for the club’s official statement and we wish Hilal a speedy recovery.
