Who will win the title?

2 games remain for the top 6 teams before the end of the season. Looking at the table right now, the derby between Nejmeh and Ansar, in the last round, will be the title decider.

If both title contenders win their next game, then the winner of the derby wins the title. What happens if the game ends in draw?

In case of a tie, Nejmeh wins the league after they won the previous derby. Therefore, Ansar needs 6 points to win the league while Nejmeh needs 4.

If Nejmeh loses points in their upcoming match and Ansar wins, Nejmeh will only need a win against Ansar for the title or the title goes to their rivals.

If Ansar loses points in their upcoming match and Nejmeh wins, Ansar will need to win against Nejmeh, or the title goes to Al Manara. If Ansar win by one goal only, the decider will be the goal difference, which is in the Greens’ favor.

What is sad though is that, arguably the most important Beirut Derby in history, will have to be played without fans.
