Lebanon beat Bhutan 2-0 in opening the 2018 AFC U16 Championship qualification

Second half goals from Mohamad Zgheib and substitute Ralph Hadchitt gave Lebanon a deserved 2-0 win over Bhutan in Saturday’s AFC U16 Championship qualifiers in the Iranian city of Karaj.

The Cedars scored two goals in a five-minute burst. Mohamad Zgheib netted a header ten minutes after the break from an assist by Said Saad. Five minutes later, Ralph Hadchity converts a penalty kick to give Lebanon the 2-0 advantage.

Lebanon created more chances than the Druk Eleven. Unfortunately, the game wasn’t broadcasted.

Young Cedars will face Iran on September 18 at 3:30pm (Beirut Time).
