Ahed have been drawn in Group A alongside Al Hidd (Bahrain), Al Wahda (Syria), and Al Nasr (Oman) while Ansar have been drawn in Group B alongside Al Salt (Jordan), Balata Center (Palestine) and Muharraq (Bahrain).

The group stage will be played in one round — 3 games — and on a centralized venue, that will be chosen later, from May 23 to May 29.

The winners of each group and the best runners-up in the West Asia Zone would have advanced to the Zonal semi-finals and the winner of the AFC Cup 2021 will have an indirect spot in the AFC Champions 2022.
