2017 AFC CUP review: A Safa loss and A Nejmeh win

On Monday, Safa lost 1-0 to Wahda from Syria in Saida Stadium. The Yellow and Blues will most likely say good-bye to the competition if they don’t win their next two games against Al Hidd from Bahrain.

Please note that Safa didn’t win their last 8 games in all competitions.

– Nejmeh won 2-1 against Saham from Oman.

Saida Stadium saw the first win of a Lebanese club – Nejmeh – in the 2017 AFC Cup. It wasn’t an easy success but Nejmeh managed to take the 3 points thanks to a wonder goal by Nicolas Cofie scored in the 70th minute.

Nejmeh should also win their next two games against Al Muharraq of Bahrain in order to advance to the knockout round.
