Observations from the second match week of the Lebanese Premier League

The second game week has come and gone, and it left us some interesting to look at.

It took 18 minutes for Hussein Awada to announce his arrival to Nejmeh’s fans in a spectacular goal.

The yellow card has appeared 49 times in all 12 games and turning red in just 1 occasion (and it shouldn’t have).

3 players are in danger of missing a game when they get a yellow card in the upcoming games and they are: Ahmad Moghrabi (AC Tripoli), Zuheir Abdallah (Shabab Al Sahel) and Saad Youssef (Shabab Al Bourj)

Even though 3 teams have not conceded a goal yet, only two goalkeepers, Ali Daher (Shabab Al Sahel) and Shaker Wehbe (Akhaa Ahli Aley), were able to keep 2 clean sheets. Al Ansar have fielded two different goalkeepers in their games, Hassan Moghnieh and Nazih Assaad.

3 teams were not able to score a point yet: Salam Zgharta, Tripoli and Tadamon Sour. They were also not able to score a goal. Relegation battle on fire.

25 goals were scored by 22 different players. In 2 matchdays, only Mohammad Kdouh (Ahed) could score more than once.

From these 25 goals, only 16 goals were assisted by other players. Khaled Takaji (Nejmeh) and Nassar Nassar (Ansar) are the only two players to set up 2 goals each.

Only 5 players were able to put their names on both the scoring sheet and assisting sheet: Ibrahim Bahsoun (Akhaa Ahli Aley), Mohammad Nassereddine, Ahmad Jalloul (Safa), Khaled Takaji (Nejmeh) and Adnan Melhem (Shabab Al Bourj). Only Takaji and Nassereddine were able to assist and score in the same match.
