The new technical system for Elite and Challenge Cup

The Lebanese Football Association (LFA) has just announced the new system of both the Elite Cup and Challenge Cup competitions. This preparatory tournament will start on 29 July.

This is an obligatory tournament for all 12 clubs.
Preliminary round : Teams are divided in 3 groups based on their final position in the 2018/2019 season. Ahed Ansar and Nejmeh will each bi ina group of their own and the remaining teams in each group will be decided by lottery. Top 2 teams of each group qualify for the “Elite Cup” and bottom 2 qualify for the “Challenge Cup”.

There is no change in the technical system for both Elite and Challenge cup competitions.

Teams can call up 2 Palestenians but can only field 1 one of them.

Yellow and red card bans are ineffective once the competition is over.
