Ahed re-inforce their squad ahead of the AFC Cup

Ahed are looking to strengthen their squad before the AFC Cup, in a group that has just 3 teams after the withdrawal of Al Nasr from the competition due to the lockdown imposed in Oman.

According to Super 1, Ahed will be looking to do a trade deal with Shabab Sahel. Abbas Assi will be heading to the Yellow team while Ali Daher makes his stay permanent with the blue team. The sources also states that 2 other names will be involved in this exchange.

Abbas Assi, 25, is a midfielder. Even though he played more at the back this year, he is the co-top scorer of Sahel with 4 goals and 3 assists.

Ali Daher, 24, is a goalkeeper. He has kept the most cleansheets in the league this season (10).

This is a deal that makes sense both ways. Ahed has currently the 3 goalkeepers of the National Team (Mehdi Khalil and Mostafa Matar) and Assi could be very useful for a team in a transition period like Ahed. On the other hand, Sahel are looking to keep Daher as he proved himself vital for the team.
