National team player gets injured

In the last game of the first round of the Lebanese Premier League, Shabab Al Sahel received their first loss of the season against Nejmeh SC.

Sahel’s losses extended to more than just the 3 points. Hussein Rizk “Nouna” was heavily injured. X-ray images and MRI showed that Rizk has tear in the side and posterior knee ligaments. Such injury could see him out for at least 6 months and therefore his season is over.

It would be optimistic to think Nouna could even be fit for the 2 world cup qualifiers against South Korea and Sri Lanka in June 2021.

A more accurate diagnosis could be out today. We wish all the best for Hussein!
