New Dates for the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup China 2023

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) agreed today that all the Asian Qualifiers Round 2 matches should be completed by June 15, 2021 with Matchday 7 and 8 to be played in March 2021 and Matchday 9 and 10 in June 2021.

For Lebanon, it means that the away game against Turkmenistan will be played in March 2021, and the games against Sri Lanka, at home, and South Korea, away, will be played in June 2021.

Round 3 of the World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifications and the qualification group stage for the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 are set to start no later than September 2021.
